Become a SUN ‘n FUN Fly-In Volunteer
Join the team of 3,500 volunteers that ensure the annual SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo is a fundraising success. Share your talents, interests and time while making new friends. Depending on the number of hours served, volunteers are eligible to receive special awards and an invitation to the Taildragger Party, a celebration of the efforts of all the Expo volunteers.
Our Fly-In Volunteers are the lifeblood of the SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo and our year-round ACE education programs. We appreciate what you do to make our efforts to Build a Brighter Future through Aviation a huge success!
What are your interests? Do you like working with people? Does working outside have an appeal? Would worlding around aircraft or on the airshow team be a dream come true? Are you a behind-the-scene kind of volunteer? Do you like working with kids? Is education your thing? We even have a few jobs that come with air conditioning. Join us and have the time of your life!
Once your application is received we will begin the placement process. Chairmen who are in need of volunteers are provided a way to make contact with you. We make every attempt to place you in an area that meets your desired volunteer goals. Your volunteer efforts will be coordinated through a particular chairman and/or our Volunteer Director’s office.
Our volunteer opportunities are limitless!
Tell us about your interests and availability by completing the Expo Volunteer application at the bottom of this page and our Volunteer Director will match you with the perfect opportunity to fit your lifestyle. Please contact Angela Mann, Director of Volunteers – 863-904-4044 for more information.

Fly-In Expo Volunteer Spotlight
Ann McKee

Ann and her husband Bill are SUN ‘n FUN Pioneers and have been providing their time and talent since almost the beginning. Ann has been instrumental in planning so many important events, operations and activities before, during and after the fly-in each year, for as many years as some of us can remember.
Her talent is taking a theme or plan, pulling all of the elements, manpower and timing together to make everything she does come off without a hitch, seamless and her touch always puts an extra shine on whatever she is involved with at SUN ‘n FUN!
Ann has been a chairman or a lead in a number of areas during the Expo, she has served in our VIP Hospitality areas, Preferred Airshow Seating and our Guests Welcome operations. She has built hospitality teams to even support other areas of the event. She is just a can-do lady!
In the past she partnered with another SUN ‘n FUN wonder-women, Suzy Eickhoff to ensure a mid-season fundraiser, The Hangar Door Canteen had several years of wonderful success.
Ann has always been one to jump in and drag us all along and make us look great and successful! She has the magic touch and we are all so lucky to have her as part of our SUN ‘n FUN family!
Ann has taken on many jobs through her years with SUN ‘n FUN… Thank you, Ann…. For a job very well done!
