We’re getting back into event season on campus, and that means more volunteer opportunities! ✈️

🌟 Year-Round Help is Always Needed!

We are so grateful for the many ways our volunteers support the Aerospace Center for Excellence & SUN ’n FUN Aerospace Expo. If you’d like to get involved outside of Fly-In week, here are some meaningful ways you can help year-round:

🌱 Grounds & Facilities

  • Mowing
  • Landscaping and grounds care (adopt an area to maintain)
  • Carpenter
  • Aviation Upholsterers
  • Electricians, Plumbers, Mechanics (especially Jan–April)

🏛️ Museum & Education

  • STEM Educators
  • Museum Docents
  • Summer Camp Helpers (June & July)

🖋️ Communications & Clerical

  • Volunteer Newsletter (interviews, writing, photography, storytelling)
  • Sign Shop (training provided; computer experience a plus)
  • Data Entry & Clerical Support (MS Office experience a plus)

🍴 Seasonal Opportunities

  • Volunteer Kitchen Help (Jan–April)
  • General support for almost everything during peak Fly-In prep (Jan–April!)

YearlyBird volunteer hours are Monday – Sunday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. The museum is closed on Mondays during off-season so schedule could fluctuate. There may also be extended work hours requested due to our special event needs.
